We were asked if we would like to review a Sound Asleep pillow from Hawkin’s Bazaar and as both me and my teenage daughter usually have our earphones stuck in our ears when we go to be we thought it would be ideal for us.
The Sound Asleep Pillow is packaged really well, it is wrapped in a polythene bag and then it is boxed to stop it getting damaged.
The Sound Asleep Pillow is standard pillow size with hollow fibre filling, it looks and feels like a good quality pillow and does not lose its puffiness. It has a built in speaker which you cannot see or feel and there is a 3.5mm jack coming out of the corner.
I must admit my daughter took this after I had used it for just a couple of nights so it has had use every night so far.
The Sound Asleep Pillow is so easy to use, just plug in your phone, mp3 player, iPod, iPad anything that accepts a 3.5mm jack sort out the music you want to listen to and rest your head on the pillow. You can adjust the volume and even when you set it really loud it isn’t too loud so does not disturb anyone else.
I would say the great thing about the Sound Asleep Pillow is you do not have to worry about earphones falling out of your ears or tangling up or even getting strangled by the earphones when they have fallen out. You get a great sound that is not muffled at all and you do not have to keep readjusting like you would with earphones.
You can even use it as an alarm by either setting the music/alarm noise to come on at a certain time.
I would definitely recommend the Sound Asleep Pillow for all ages even the young ones who like to listen to their lullabies at bedtime. Once a pillow case is on the pillow you cannot even see the 3.5mm jack so no one would know by looking at it.
