On March 23rd 2015 Smiggle launched their UK website which means that if you haven’t got a Smiggle store near you yet you can still get their fantastic children’s stationery.
We were sent some Smiggle stationery for both boys and girls.
This is what we received;
Green Crocodile Travel Bottle – A 600ml bottle with flip top lid. This is fantastic for school and for when you are out and about.
Crocodile Pop Out Pencil Case – This pencil case has a top and a underside compartment for you to store your pencils, pens, rulers and erasers. There is also two pencil sharpeners, one for regular sized pencils and one for chunkier pencils. The pencil sharpener also holds the pencil shavings so no mess. There is also a small calculator on this pencil case.
Konnichiwa Medium Sketch Kit – This is really cute, it has a little Japanese girl graphic on the spiral sketch book, it also comes with double-sided pencils, a 15cm ruler, pencil with pencil topper in the shape of the little Japanese girl, a 3D eraser, and a Big Mistakes large eraser.
My daughter loves this, she liked the colour, the shape of the eraser and the double sided pencils, she has never seen this before so it is quite the novelty.
Mega Optical Light – It is a green fibre optic light that requires 3 x AAA batteries (not included).
Turn on this funky light and watch the optical fibres light up bright. It also has a glowing base. My daughter loves this. It is great as a night light as it lights the room up just enough for her to see around her room.
Warm up Hand Warmers. These came in Robot knitted covers. These are like mini hot water bottles but they have heat pads inside the knitted covers. The heat pads can be reused.
We have not used these as it is quite warm. They would be perfect for bonfire night or an outdoor carol service, when your hands would usually be cold.
Woodlands Raccoon A5 Pencil Case, this is a red pencil case, with has a double zip compartment. There is a carry loop and ring binder holes so you can attach it to your ring binder. It is a great sized pencil case and fantastic for those who tend to mislay their pens and pencils as they can be kept in the same place as the papers in the ring binder.
Woodlands Raccoon Media Pouch this is a furry case for media devices such as phone or iPod. My daughter has an old iPod so this is perfect for her and it keeps it safer than it would be without it. The case has a racoon print on the front, a coloured zip and a carabiner so it can be attached to a belt buckle.
Woodlands Pencils, we received four of these, 2 owls ones with owl wings and two bug ones that were red. The pencils are HB. These are quite the novelty for my daughter, she loves the wings. I think they are very different and it is amazing what a small difference can make to a pencil for a child.
Woodlands Eraser Set is a set of five erasers, 2 bats, a raccoon head, a wolf head and a tree. Everyone loves novelty erasers and I am sure most boys and girls would love these. My daughter certainly does.
Woodlands Flip Out Notebooks – These notebooks have the raccoon theme on the front, they are pocket sized tear off pads which include 50 perforated tear out sheets beneath a nifty flip under cover. The pages are blank. There is a 5mm grid on the reverse size of the notebook.
These are really handy when out and about. My daughter loves to take hers out when we go on our countryside walks and jot down all of the wildlife she spots.
Two Tone Green and Black Talking Clock – this clock requires 3 x AA batteries which are not included. It is a really fun alarm clock as you can record your own voice or phrase and set it up so it will be your alarm to wake you up. Such a cool idea. I am sure lots of kids would love it.
Triple Whammy Sharpener and Woodlands Metallic Red Raccoon Sharpener – These sharpeners are really good, they have 2 small holes to sharpener regular sized pencils and a large one too. They are in a container so all shavings are contained in it. My daughter loves these and they are a must have for her pencil case.
Woodlands Red Raccoon Slap band, a blast from the past but slap bands seem to be making a come back. My daughter loves them and has been known to have three or four up her arm at the same time. This one is red which a raccoon face in the centre.
Woodlands rulers – we had a boy and girl version of these, the boy one is black and features a howling wolf, a moon, a bat and a forest.
The girl one is purple and features a deer with ladybirds and a woodland scene. The rulers measure 15cm so perfect to add in your pencil case.
We really love Smiggle, their stationery is not only practical but they are fun too. We will definitely be looking on their new website so my daughter can write her wish list of stationery she would like next.
