Children go through shoes so quickly, their feet are always growing it seems every few months my six year old needs new shoes. I was lucky enough to be chosen to review a pair of shoes Barratt’s kids section online.
I let my daughter choose the shoes herself as she is very aware of what looks good and what doesn’t which I think is because her older sister is a bit of a fashion freak.
The ordering process is pretty simple as you would expect from an online store. Click add basket, proceed to checkout and pay which I did. I received a confirmation email but a few days later I was told that the shoes we had originally ordered were in fact out of stock. They did refund straight away though so we decided to order another pair that day.
My daughter chose a pair of Sketchers Twinkle Toes Light Up pumps and this order went through not a problem and I received a dispatch email a few days later.
The pumps took five working days to arrive and when I opened the box I was impressed with them just by looking at them.
The Sketchers Twinkle Toes Light Up pumps were very funky with peace signs all over them in a pretty pink with twinkles everywhere. The toes of the pumps are full of twinkly gems and some of them light up when moving the pumps, there is also lights on a couple of gems on the sides of the pumps too.
These can be worn with or without laces as the tongue of the pump is fastened by a thick piece of elastic each side. My daughter prefers to wear them without the laces.
There is a reflective strip on the back of the pumps.
The soles are made of thick synthetic material, the upper is made of canvas and synthetic and the lining is canvas.
They are very comfortable for my daughter to wear and she absolutely loves the style and design of these. They are now her favourite footwear.
There is one thing that can be off putting with the pumps though. When driving in the evening and she is sitting behind us and knocks her shoes together they flash and look like police lights lighting up the car. This has sent me into a panic more than once haha.
