We were given Rummikub xpress to review. I was quite excited to be given yet another game to play. I love trying and playing new games. I love board games and they are my go to things when I want to spend time with family or if I am bored.
I asked Skye if she would like to have a go at playing with me and we both sat down and had a look at the rules and how we play. Numbers are my weakness so I wasn’t sure whether in the end I would get along with this game and I wasn’t sure whether Skye would understand.
In the box:
18 x dice
1 x Dice shaker
1 x Fabric bag
1 x Scorecards
The game is really straightforward and we had loads of fun playing this game. The rules are as follows The object of the game is to play all your dice and have the most points at the end of 6 games. Each player takes 9 dice and rolls them onto the table. If a player rolls a set they place it on the table. Players can manipulate the sets on the table, moving dice to create new sets. The winner is the player to play all their dice, or the player with the lowest number of points showing on their dice, if players are unable to make a move after 3 consecutive turns.
All you have to do is put your dice in the shaker and get the most points.
It is very straightforward and me and Skye loved it although we tried playing it on the floor and the dice decided to roll everywhere so we were trying to look for the dice before the dogs found them. Which was quite a lot of fun on its own. The game itself was really good I was so surprised how much I actually liked it and it was quite easy. I don’t think Skye quite understood as much but she got the concept of the game but overall it was brilliant and a lot of fun. You could also get away with taking it with you places as it is a really good size for travelling.
Suitable for ages 7+
Rummikub xpress is available at all good game stores and online for around £12.95 or less.
