In my first pregnancy even though it was the smallest bump I had of all the other pregnancies it was also the pregnancy that gave me most of my stretch marks. They were all underneath the bump though so I didn’t realise until after I had given birth that I had any at all. My second pregnancy I got one or two extra ones and this time I have not got any extra ones just yet but I am only 20 weeks so I have a lot of time to stretch still.
To help prevent any more I was sent a bottle of Re-Gen Oil to try, which is a specialist treatment for stretch marks, scars, dry skin and blemished skin so can be used for a few things.
It has been approved by skin specialists as a face and body treatment. Contains Vitamins A and E, it is hypoallergenic, not tested on animals, suitable for all ages and also contains Calendula, lavender and rosemary oil.
I received this a few weeks ago and have been applying it mainly on old stretch marks hoping that they will fade a bit. I apply by pouring a few drops in the palm of my hand and using my fingers to massage into the affected area twice a day. It can also be used as a bath oil.
This oil is very similar to another stretch mark oil on the market, it feels the same and leaves my skin feeling the same as it does with the other oil but at a cheaper price.
The oil soaks in quite quickly leaving no oily or sticky residue so it does not leave marks on clothing. I have not really noticed a difference in my stretch marks as yet but obviously I would need to use it longer to see results but I am going to keep using it throughout the pregnancy to see if those blasted stretch marks do eventually fade, I know they won’t completely go but I would be less body conscious if they faded and looked less red.
I will update this at the end of my pregnancy to let you know the end result.
