We recently saw The Grossery Gang Yucky Mart Playset and other products of The Grossery Gang range advertised on the television and my daughter spotted them and said she wants them. Just after we had spoken about them we were offered the chance to review the set and she jumped for joy.
We received the Yucky Mart playset which also contained 2 exclusive Grosseries and 4 foil bags which each contained one of the Grossery Gang in it but you don’t know what you are getting until you open them up.
Here is a little about The Grossery Gang’s Yucky Mart;
Welcome to the Yucky Mart, it’s the one stop shop for grossness! Kids can check out the launcher on the counter and see if they can dunk their gang into the giant slushie! Grossery characters will chill with cool friends in the queasy freezer or just hang with the gang on the shelves. They should watch out for the moldy microwave, or they may have a melt down! This Yucky Mart playset comes with two exclusive Grosseries.
There are over 150 characters to collect in the Grossery Gang! Start your collection with some included Foil Bags that includes gross characters. Look out for special edition stocky sweets or ultra-rare mouldy veg!
The Yucky Mart is a cool playset, not only does it look like a shop but it has a door that opens and closes, shelves on one window where you can display your Grossery Gang. A counter launcher which not only launches Grosseries to where ever you want them to go but there are also shelves at the front for more Grosseries to be displayed. On the box it says you can try to launch your Grossery character and try and get it into the Ice Cream Freezer which is also supplied.
There is a Moldy Microwave in which you place your Grossery inside the top door, close it and press the side lever, open the bottom door and out comes your Grossery. Once the bottom door is open it resets the lever for the next Grsssery to go in the microwave.
There is a slushie sign and it can be put facing forwards or backwards, we had our one facing backwards as you can put a Grossery in it and it looks like it is stuck in a vent.
My daughter loves playing with this, she received a hot dog and a milkshake as her exclusive characters that were in with the playset but it wasn’t long before she wanted to open the 4 blind bags too.
Inside the blind bags are a Grossery Gang character and a crate which is stackable. She received Stinky Cheese, Grotty Soap and 2 Putrid Pizzas, she was a little sad that she had received a duplicate already but that is what happens quite a bit with blind bags, especially with the more common characters.
Every character is gross, from mouldy or rotten, to sticky sweets.
I have not as yet seen the packs that we received only a 2 or 4 pack of Grossery characters which my daughter is saving up for by doing chores.
This playset has kept her entertained for a long while; she normally gets it out at least a few times a week and loves to show her friends it too.
There are 150 characters to collect which means it will not be a toy that will get pushed to the back of the cupboard, every time a new character is bought the Yucky Mart will come out again.
The Grossery Gang are like a cooler, grubbier version of Shopkins and although they seem to be marketed at boys in particular I am sure a lot of girls will like them too, my daughter definitely does.
The Yucky Mart costs £19.99 is available from Flair Plc.
