Samsung have launched a campaign called #100DaysofFamily in this campaign 50 families will be telling their stories through the lens of their new Samsung Galaxy K Zoom smartphone. Basically they will document family life, holidays and the adventures they will be taking part in during the 100 days.
If you haven’t checked the 100 Days of Family website by Samsung yet take a look now, it is fantastic.
I will be focusing on the families of this campaign more in another blog post but for now I want to let you know what my first thoughts are of the new Samsung Galaxy K Zoom.
In all honest I think my head has been in the clouds for the last few months as for someone who is pretty much in the know when it comes to new mobile phones coming out but I had not heard about the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, which surprised me even more as I am a Samsung Galaxy girl.
When opening the box the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom’s face is the same as an S5. The screen looks a lot sharper and it I think the touch screen is more responsive than previous models.
I love that the Micro SD slot is actually at the side of the phone and not inside near the battery and SIM card as it makes it so much easier to get to and swap cards if you run out of memory.
The big difference from Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is that the Galaxy K Zoom has a camera on the back. Yes I know most phones do but this something else entirely, seriously it is what I would call a proper camera rather than a regular phone camera. This does make the phone bulkier but for someone like myself who is always taking photos for my blog, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and so on this is very handy for me as it means that I now do not have to take my camera with me everywhere I go just in case I can’t get a good quality photo on my phone and my bag will not be as weighed down.
Let’s talk about the camera which in my eyes is the main and best feature for a person like me. The new retracting lens technology makes the 10x optical zoom powerful yet it is in a mobile phone and is pretty slim considering this. It has pinch zoom and one touch quick zoom. It is packed with power that even pros can respect. With a bright 20.7MP BSI CMOS sensor giving brilliant shots even in low light, and an onboard ISP chip makes details even sharper.
It has a Pro Suggests bar at the bottom, now this is fantastic as it analyses your world through the lens. From gender to light and colour, Pro Suggest detects your scene aspects and gives you 5 optimised setting suggestions for timeless photos which I think is absolutely amazing.
The quality of the photos I have taken so far is beyond unreal for a mobile phone. There are so many more features I have not even found or tried yet. This is my favourite so far;
So this is my first look of the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom which if you haven’t guess I absolutely LOVE, I will be writing a full review post about it soon.
We will also be documenting a family day of at Chessington World of Adventures with the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom so stay tuned for both of those which will be coming soon.
Disclaimer: We were gifted the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom to document our own family day out in collaboration with Samsung. All thoughts and opinions in this post are my own and not influenced in any way.
