I really like receiving a Degustabox every month to review as it means I can try foods I may not purchase if I saw them in a shop and I have found many new foods that I like.
This is what we found in our October Degustabox;
Lorina – Lorina is a premium French lemonade that has been handcrafted since 1895. Lorina uses 100% natural ingredients, free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Coconut and lime is refreshing and unique, serve chilled, over ice or mixed with a splash of alcohol. Lorina has a wide range of flavours also available in 330ml and 750ml glass.
I do not like coconut drinks but I thought I would give this a go as it is a lemonade. I actually though it tasted quite nice. I was surprised by the taste. It was refreshing and different. I would probably get this again in the future. This costs around £1.49.
The Snack Organisation – The Snack Organisation Presents…Freeze Dried Fruit. Four delicious varieties in the range, Strawberry, Apricot, Apple and Pineapple. Freeze Drying preserves the fruits nutrition and flavours without the use of any unhealthy oils or high temperatures creating a crispy delicious all natural snack that can be snacked, scrunched and sprinkled. 1 of your 5 a day, 100% natural, No nasties or oil, Not baked, Gluten free and suitable for vegetarians.
We all like freeze dried fruit in this house, it is a different way to eat fruit but still gives all the goodness of fresh fruit. We had the Apple packet and it was exactly how we had imagined it. There is no extra flavours, just the apple, as it should be. A bag of these cost around £1.00.
The Snack Organisation – The Snack Organisation Presents…Rice Crackers, Three delicious varieties in the range, Lightly Salted, Sweet Chilli and Teriyaki. Baked not fried, Gluten free and suitable for vegetarians, Only £1 in Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
Being pregnant and having food aversions in the early stages, these were a god send. I have had rice crackers before and these had the same texture. We received the Lightly Salted flavour and these were very nice, and very much welcomed.
Cirio – La Classica is a ready to use passata. Ripe luscious tomatoes are crushed and bottled to season all dishes, giving them a unique Taste-of-Italy experience. Good food, made with Traditional Passion. In 1856 Francesco Cirio was a pioneer in preserving tomatoes in tin cans. Every day since then, consumers around the world have been able to experience the true taste of Italy on their tables.
I have received these before in a Degustabox and the La Classica is fantastic in a spaghetti bolognese. The chopped tomatoes are also very nice, they taste like they are great quality. For both of these it costs around £2.25.
Liberation Foods – Owned by small-scale nut farmer co-ops in Africa, India and Latin America, Liberation’s mission as a Fair Trade nut company is to change the wold nut by nut by bringing nut producers and consumers of the world together so that everyone gets a better deal. Choose from Fairtrade Oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts, Fairtrade Oven Baked Chilli & Lime Cashews with Peanuts and Roasted Corn AND Over Baked Mixed Peppercorn Peanuts with Cashews & Habas Fritas. www.chooseliberation.com
We received the Chilli and Lime Cashews with Peanuts, unfortunately I cannot eat chilli, however my husband really enjoyed these, he said there was a definitely chilli kick to them. A bag of these costs around £2.00.
Kabuto – A fresh tasting noodle dish with coconut, chicken chilli and coriander. This delicious chicken noodle dish is inspired by the warm coconut laksa dishes of Malaysia. Like all of our noodles, it is made using quality ingredients and no additives or preservatives, simply top up with boiling water.
We have received these before, my husband decided to have these again. The noodles were nice and soft and the flavour was nice. They are a little expensive than other noodles on the market at £1.99 per pot.
Chip Strips – Chip Strips give a new dimension to your appetizers and to your snacking! Original, naturally fine and crispy. It’s as much a pleasure to eat them as it is to share them. For the evening, midday break o lunch, chew every moment with Chip Strips!
These were something different. I have never seen anything like this before, long strips on thin crisps. Each strip can be broken into 4 parts. The flavours were really nice, we had cheese and onion and smokey BBQ. I think these would make a great snack for Christmas or for a movie night. They cost around £1.00 each.
Product of the Month – 9BAR – 9BAR Original Carob Hit is a delicious, natural source of good energy for people who lead active lives. Every Original 9BAR is packed with naturally nutritious sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and hemp seeds with smooth carob topping and makes an energy boosting addition to a balanced diet.
I love these bars, and they are so much healthier than other bars on the market. They are packet with seeds and have a carob topping. My youngest daughter took a liking to them too. A pack of 5 bars cost around £2.49.

The range is 100% natural with no added sugar o artificial preservatives – only natural ingredients and the goodness from nature.
I didn’t get a look in with these, anyone who has a Spongebob fan in the house probably wouldn’t get a look in either as the front of the packets have Spongebob on. These were a pack of 4 cartons of orange drink. They did taste nice and orangey. A packet of these costs around £1.99.

Myself and my eldest daughter like muesli so we tried this quite quickly. I have tried otherr gluten free products and they taste a little bland however this tasted really nice, it was very fruity. A box of this costs around £3.79.

I haven’t gotten around to using this voucher as yet because the store I usually visit had none in stock. I hope that will change as we do really want to try this.
