At the end of July we received yet another Degustabox to review. We do love the Degustaboxes as it is a complete surprise what will be in them and it is a great way to try new things.
Degustabox is a monthly subscription box full of foods and drinks.
This is what we received;
Sarson’s Balsamic Vinegar – Sarson’s, the expert in vinegar for over 200 years, now bring you a versatile full bodied balsamic from Modena, perfect as an accompaniment to salads or a recipe ingredient. Our balsamic provides a distinctive gentle aroma with a tangy taste. Goes perfectly on a salad or in a homemade pesto.
We have not used this yet but are planning to in the next week or so as a few low fat recipes I am looking for recipes that include balsamic vinegar as an ingredient. I’ve not tried balsamic vinegar before so it will be interesting to see what difference it can make in a meal.
Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles Infusions – Infusions are an exciting twist on Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles, featuring 3 delicious fusions of flavours including orange & grapefruit, raspberry & pomegranate and apple & elderflower. Made with fruit juice, and with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Infusions are available to buy in all major stores.
We all love Fruit Pastilles s were excited to try these new ones. They are very new and different, we love all of the flavours and the mixed infusion is delicious. The sweets were smaller than the regular Fruit Pastilles. We would definitely buy these again
ALO Drink – Our drinks start with real aloe vera that we hand pick on our organic farm. You get all of the benefits of real aloe vera because our juice and pulp never come from powder, only our pure, powerful plant. We are Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free and fat-free.
We received Aloe Vera and Mangosteen and it tasted really nice, all I could taste and smell was the mango and I do like mango. It tastes lovely when chilled and I would definitely purchase this in the future.
Jordans – Deliciously light in texture our Swiss Style Muesli is a blend of crispy wheat flakes, creamy oats, juicy raisins and finely sliced almonds. A simple classic and naturally with no added sugar: splendid.
I do like Muesli and Jordan’s are one of my favourite brands so I looked forward to having this at breakfast time. This was just as delicious as the other muesli’s I have tried from Jordan’s and it does fill me up until lunch time.
Itsu Crispy Seaweed Thins – Crispy seaweed is an Asian Delicacy, now hugely popular in the UK where it is heralded as the new vegetable crisp. Istu crispy seaweed thins are harvested from South Korea’s crystal clear seas. Naturally packed with zinc, iron, B12 and iodine & with less than 2 calories per thin, they are the perfect snack or salad sprinkle.
We had never tried seaweed before so were quite excited to try these. They are really thin and smell like seaweed, upon tasting I found them absolutely disgusting to the point I was almost sick. I thought it was just me but my husband and both of my daughters had the same reaction.
Felix Gherkins – Our sweet pickled crunchy gherkins are handpicked in Sweden in late summer, when the gherkins are at their best. They are prepared using a traditional recipe with vinegar, sugar and spices. Their sweet taste and crunchiness makes them perfect to serve with your burger, sandwich or as a condiment.
We love a gherkin or two in our burgers and so we had burgers in the week just to try these gherkins. To be honest they taste the same as any other gherkins I have had but make the burgers taste better with them. I would purchase these in the future.
Bahlsen Choco Leibniz – Bahlsen’s delicious milk chocolate Choco Leibniz are now available in handy portion packs of two biscuits to go. Crisp butter biscuits set into a smooth continental milk chocolate. Perfect for picnics and packed lunches for a tasty snack under 150 calories. It’s not just a biscuit it’s a Bahlsen.
I love the original Choco Leibniz they are very tasty. Being in a handy portion pack they are even better as I can pop them in my bag for when I get a little peckish on the go.
Seabrooks Crisps – Seabrook Lattice Food Heroes celebrate all that is good about British Food and Drink. This range champions award winning producers that focus on high quality and great flavour, just like us at Seabrook.
We received Chorizo flavour, they are lattice crisps and look and smell nice. I wasn’t all that keen on them however my husband really liked these and polished them off quite quickly when we were watching a film.
Rejuvenation Water – Amino acid enriched spring water, Rejuvenation Water is specifically designed to deal with the rigours of modern life. Using Derbyshire spring water, natural fruit flavours and a unique amino acid profile, Rejuvenation Water fuels the immune system, builds a natural resilience to stress, depression and anxiety and aids protein digestion.
We received Spanish Orange flavour and I wasn’t really keen on it but my oldest daughter really enjoyed it. She said it was refreshing and nice to take with her when she goes for her long walks. I do think that at £1.99 per bottle is a little steep in price though and I probably would not purchase it for this reason.
Cracker Drinks – Cracker Drinks Co. Creates natural fruit juice drinks that are delicious and better for you. The range is made up of interesting blends, but no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. A serving will provide 1 of your 5 a day while being less than 90 kcals. They taste great too.
This drink is Pineapple, Coconut and Lime and although I do not like the taste of coconut the pineapple over powers it quite a bit so you really cannot taste it. This is really nice and refreshing to drink alone but it is also a great mixer with alcohol. I would buy this again.
Brookside Chocolates – Exotic fruit and berry flavours blend with smooth dark chocolate. Light and refreshing. Rich and rewarding. Wholesome and authentic. It’s an extraordinary taste experience you can have anytime.
I really wasn’t sure whether I would like these or not when I saw them, however I was surprised as they are really nice, it is like you are eating chocolate and then reach the centre for a nice rewarding berry burst. My husband enjoyed them too. We would probably buy these again in the future.
We also received 2 cans on Qcumber drink which is cucumber sparkling spring water. I did not like that very much. My daughters did though so they drank it.
There was a can of Berrywhite Sparkling Cranberry & Guava which is a sparkling spring water. This was very nice and refreshing, especially when chilled.
