Adult and Child Scooters from Micro Scooters
I see all these children playing on there scooters and sometimes I find myself thinking that I wished I could have one as they look so much fun. So when I was given the opportunity to review an Adult and Child scooter, One for me or hubby and one for my 5 year old from Micro-Scooters I literally jumped at the chance as it means myself and my daughter can scoot up to the park or where ever else we want to go.
When the scooters came I was actually surprised at how small the boxes were as I was expecting them to be bigger.
My daughter received a purple Maxi Micro Scooter T-Bar which she was really pleased with as it is her favourite colour at the moment.

This scooter is aimed for 6 – 12 year olds my daughter is on the bigger side though so this was perfect plus you can move the height of the handle bars up and down so we could get them to the correct height for her.
I liked the deck as it is wider than the normal scooters so it is easier for her to stay on it.

The scooter has 3 wheels for stability and I really liked the fact that the way she controlled the steering of the scooter was by leaning either left or right but it is never a sharp steer it is really smooth.
I did think she would struggle with this as she was used to turning the handles to steer on her other scooter but she found this really easy to do and it helps her with her balancing skills too.
There is also a back foot brake that is quite wide making it easier for children so stop.
The scooter comes apart too. Just one click underneath and you can detach the handle bars from the base so it fits into a small space in the car which is great when your car is filled to the brim when you are going on holiday.
Here is my daughter enjoying scooting up and down the garden path.
She absolutely loves this scooter and goes on it at every opportunity she can, Even scooting around the house on it.
I received an Aluminium scooter called Micro Sprite Scooter in Silver.

It is sleek and stylish with adjustable height for the handle bars again so they can be the correct height for the person using it.
The Micro Sprite Scooter is suitable from age 5 to Adult which means not only can myself and my husband use it so can our teenager daughter or even my 5 year old daughter.
The folding mechanism is really simple just flipping up a bar and a push of a button and it folds up, the handlebars also come out and can be folded too.
The scooter folds up to a small size and again fantastic for taking on holiday as it will not take up much space at all.

If you are a mum who uses a pushchair and has an older child with a Micro Sprite scooter it would be easy to fold and put in the bottom of the pushchair.
One thing I thought was a nifty idea was the little stand on the side of the scooter.
Usually you see children big and small just chucking their scooters down as they don’t stand up on their own. This one does with just this little stand. Brilliant idea!

The back brake is easy to use too.
We have been out and about on the scooters and riding the Micro Sprite scooter I found that it glided with ease and was so smooth and it looks smart too. It is a great way to get outdoors with the children. I actually love it.
There are also many accessories you can buy for both scooters, for example, lights (front and rear), bags, bottle holders, stickers. Some that could easily be brought from children’s pocket money.
I will definitely be having a good look at Micro-Scooters website to see what accessories we will be having next.

Scoobits Scooter Accessory

We were given a Scoobits to review.
So what are Scoobits? Well they are just a simple but fun way to personalise your scooter so if you put it down with other people scooters that happen to be the same colour and make of yours with a Scoobits it will be so much easier finding yours!
We asked for anyone to be sent to us as long as it was “girly” As obviously I have daughters.
We received a pink strapped Rainbow one along with a sheet of stickers that were in the packet.

My daughter set about quickly adding it to her scooter and rode around the house with it on.
She then took it off and used it as a watch and bracelet which she kept asking if we liked her new watch.
The good thing about the Scoobits is they are pretty much versatile. She even puts hers on her bike.

There are many different characters for girls and boys to choose from so you can collect them and they only cost £3.99 so a good little treat, pocket money toy or for party bags.
A thumbs up from my daughter!
A fun way to personalise your scooter
The first ever, collectable scooter accessory
Scoobits are the latest accessory craze to hit the school run this year. Scoobits are a unique range of cute, colourful characters that kids simply strap onto to their scooters making them their own. Scoobits personalise scooters, making them stand out from the crowd on the school run and in the playground.
Appealing to both boys and girls aged three years and over, Scoobits are packed with kerbside credibility and personality. They feature a range of popular characters to collect, swap and trade.
Quirky characters include a busy bee, a clumsy penguin, an adventurous dragon and cool shark which all simply attach to the scooter and hold firm thanks to its clever badge and strap design.
Made from tough, durable 100% silicone, Scoobits do not contain UPVC and are safe, soft and squidgy for little fingers.
And don’t forget, Scoobits are not just for scooters. Children can “scoobit” their bike, trike, or personalise school bags. So why not collect them all?

Fulton Funbrella
We received a childs ‘Funbrella’ umbrella from http://www.fultonumbrellas.com/
It was a clear one with black rim. Unfortunately we have had no rain to properly test this out yet.
The umbrella is very well made with a thick transparent canopy making it brilliant for children to see through when it’s raining. This one had a black rim although there are other colours available.
I particularly liked the fact that the bit you push up to get the umbrella up glides up easily and goes up in place without a catch, like with a pressure fitting. It also comes down slowly just by a pull no fiddly catches saving my daughters hands from being trapped, which makes me cringe with normal umbrellas.
As the umbrella is dome shaped its even better because it means less clothing on her body will get wet as it seems other umbrella keep her head dry and that is about it.
This looks and feels like it will last a long time and less changes that it will blow inside out due to the dome shape.
Definitely well worth the price of £10.00
Fun umbrella with a bubble shape and bright colours that children will love
- With easy glide: a patented, ultra smooth, safe and easy device to open and close
- Transparent dome canopy with great visibility
- Easy glide runner to prevent injury of small hands when opening and closing
- Completely covers head and shoulders
- Umbrella measures 68.5cm long when closed, 65cm when open

Scootrix Scooter Accessories
Almost every child I know that owns a scooter wants to ride them to and from school on a daily basis, A lot of the scooters are the same brand and colour and left in the scooter park with all of the others, Are the children actually taking THEIR scooters home or are they infact picking up someone elses? Short of sticking a name sticker or writing with permanant marker on the bottom of the scooter who knows who’s scooters they really belong too.
This is where Scootrix have come up with a fabulous idea to stop this happening.

The name plate is very similiar to a car registration plate, well to kids they are anyway.
When bought they come as a blank white plate with lots of letters and number stickers supplied, You stick the letters of your childs name or if its too long maybe a nickname and then attach the plate to the scooter.
Thats it! no more worrying about whose scooter is whose as yours has now got a lovely name plate, which kids love!

Whats more is Scootrix also have Wheel Whizzers which I haven’t actually attached yet but they help identifying your scooter even more. They are wheel caps that fit onto Micro scooters (mini and maxi) on the wheels the patterns on them swirl when the scooter is in motion, which the kids love. The ones we have are multi coloured. Which will be fitted very soon!

Not only are they a great for identifying your scooter, they are really cool and funky too making you and your scooter then envy of other kids.
I highly recommend these whether it be for indentifying your scooter in the scooter shed or just as a fun accessory for your scooter.

Scootrix Plates cost around £9.99
and the Wheel Whizzers cost around £6.99 per pair
