Today is Day 5 of Blogging Ever Day in May, if you have not heard of it yet take a look at Rosalilium’s website. You are not too late to sign up either 🙂
Every day we are given a prompt, today’s prompt is Cinco de Mayo – Let’s be Mexican, unfortunately I do not know a lot about Mexico so this left me with a little dilemma of what to post.
After a while I came up with the idea to write about my gorgeous dog.
I am not sure if I actually ever wrote a proper post about my dogs so thought I would finally write one considering I have had my blog for way to long. This post is dedicated to Peppa, I will do a separate post about Gizmo another time.
Meet Peppa, she is a Shih Tzu. She’s 4 years old and we have had her since she was a tiny puppy.
Now we were not going to get a puppy, I had been pestering my husband for a long while about getting one and every time I asked he said no. My mum wanted to get a Shih Tzu puppy though so my husband went to the breeders home to check the pups out, he got talking to them and they said they would be selling the mum later, I am not sure why although she had a lot of Shih Tzu adults in her home and maybe she was cutting back.
So anyway the husband came home and told me about the adult they were selling and showed me a picture of her, she was gorgeous, but my husband had other ideas, while he was checking the pups out for my mum he couldn’t help get the aww factor and finally agreed I could have one. His reason was that as we were having no luck in the baby way a puppy would be the next best thing.
My husband, my mum and I all went to look at the puppies this time and choose which one we wanted, put our deposit down and most importantly play with the puppies. I was in love with my choice straight away, which is strange as I wanted a boy originally but chose a girl.
A few weeks later I could take Peppa home I was so excited to bring my little bundle home.
She is now almost 5 years, she has had a litter of her own, she was a great mummy. She is the most loyal dog I have ever known. She follows me everywhere. I know most pet owners say that but how many of you go to the toilet or shower and your dog will follow you, coming into the bathroom and sitting by the bath until you are done.
If she wants a proper cuddle she will jump on my lap and put her paws on my shoulder and cuddle her head into it. If I am at home, you will find her stuck to me, the only time she ventures off is when there is food about.
I love her so much 🙂
