I was recently offered the chance to review some products from Ahava on their eBay Store and I chose the Ahava Bright Nights Night Mineral Makeover which was two products as a package, an Age Control Brightening and Renewal Serum and an Age Control Even Tone Sleeping Cream as they are age control creams I thought these would be best for my skin as I am getting older and with that my skin is showing signs of ageing now.
The first thing I noticed when I visited the Ahava eBay store was that there was a whole range of products for both men and women and for a multitude of things including anti ageing, dry skin, blemished skin and not just for the face but for the body too including body butter and lotion. I would say that they have something for everyone.
After I had chosen the products I wanted I was surprised at how quickly it reached me, as it was coming from Israel I assumed it would take a week maybe longer, it actually reached me the very next day!
I have been using both of these products together just before bed every night.
I first put on the Age Control Brightening and Renewal Serum on first, before applying I make sure my face has been washed and dried thoroughly, I then apply two drops on my face and massage in gently.
The serum comes in a bottle containing 30ml, it has a pump action dispenser. The serum looks like a lotion in consistency and it has a beige shimmer to it. There is no scent that I could smell.
This has been a nightly routine for the past two weeks, although I have not noticed any major difference apart from when I put it on my skin feels tighter and smoother. However it does state on the box that in clinical trials that I should notice a difference in 28 days.
The Age Control Even Tone Sleeping Cream comes in a 50ml pot with screw on lid. When I first opened it there was a cover over the cream that had been sealed. I pulled that off to reveal a thick white cream which again didn’t really have a scent.
I applied this to my face after the serum had soaked in. I found I only needed a little of the cream to cover the whole of my face, probably the same amount as the serum although this time it was two finger tips worth.
I massaged it into my face and it soaked it very quickly leaving no residue.
I then went to sleep and left it to do its work.
Again I haven’t noticed a great difference yet, although my skin does feel softer and the cream does give a tightness to the skin. It states on the box that after 28 days 98% of women experienced a significant reduction in wrinkle depth so I will definitely give it the whole 28 days to see if I notice a difference.
Both of these products contain The Ahava Osmoter, it optimises cells metabolism, protects from UV damage and significantly increases moisture to keep your skin looking young and supple, and active Dead Sea Minerals which are known to improve the skin’s well being and youthfulness.
Would I recommend this cream? At the moment I have not noticed a significant difference but that is because I haven’t used it for the full 28 days yet and have another 2 weeks to go before I may notice the difference. However it does make my skin feel nice and moisturised so I would recommend it for the moisturising benefit if nothing else.
